Sick Leave or Sick Moves? Camille Villar Ghosts Alyansa Like a Classmate with No Group Project Contribution

Image
In an unexpected twist worthy of a teleserye , House Deputy Speaker Camille Villar has once again called in sick , skipping yet another Alyansa campaign rally. But netizens were quick to note: the only thing contagious here seems to be political indecisiveness. Sources say Villar’s staff informed the Alyansa team just minutes before the Pangasinan rally: “May sakit po siya.” Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports say her cough might be caused by excessive exposure to political tension and conflicting endorsements. BACK-TO-BACK ABSENCES? PARANG CLASS CUT. This isn’t Villar’s first absence. She also missed the Tacloban rally shortly after her Tito Digong got shipped off to The Hague faster than a balikbayan box. But unlike students who cut class because of breakup drama, Villar’s absence comes right after she dropped a campaign ad with Vice President Sara Duterte —yes, the same Sara whose dad just got arrested under the same admin Villar is supposedly campaigning for. My Wife Is Not a Queen—She’s the Backbone of Our Household

Let me set the stage. I'm a 39-year-old husband and father. My wife, also 39, and I have been married for 15 years. I come from an upper-middle-class background. When I met her in college, she came from a lower-income family. She was a scholar who worked hard to finish her education. My immediate family loves her for being kind, genuine, and hardworking. But my extended family? Not as much. Family Reunion in the Philippines My wife and I migrated abroad 14 years ago. We've only been back to the Philippines twice. On this visit, we attended a big family reunion. I was with my mom and daughter, introducing her to relatives she hadn’t met before. Then came my cousin (35M) and his wife (30F). He’s the type of guy with outdated views on gender roles in marriage. Cousin: “You’ve got the dad vibes now! Where’s your wife?” Me: “L’s downstairs with my dad.” Cousin: “Your hands are rough! Is she making you do all the chores now? You’re like the nanny. Hand your kid to her, le...

I was about to get married to my bf of 5 years, he was a golden retriever type bf, sweet, loyal, and all the fucking positive adjectives you can correlate to a good loving bf. Three days ago, we had a disagreement about the flavor of the wedding cake, gusto niya chocolate while I wanted red velvet. Ang dami naming hindi pagkakasundo para sa kasal but I was willing to compromise. For some reason, it became heated quite fast, take note that we never argued regularly. After the appointment, we were in the car, he suddenly lashed out at me and he said words that were enough for me to call off the engagement. "Pag sabi ko, sabi ko, t*ng*n*. Gawin mo!" he then hit the wheel so fucking hard. Bitch, best believe I was out of that. F* the 5-year relationship, that quickly became 5 years of pretending to be a decent person.

I cried in EO

I got my 13th-month pay this payday, and the first thing I did was take my mom to EO. For years, she's been using eyeglasses that didn't have the correct grade. She just bought them from drugstores where they sell fixed-grade glasses because they were cheap and that's all she could afford. When we got to EO, I let her choose any frame she liked. I didn’t give her a budget limit because I wanted her to pick something that made her feel good about how she looked. We also had her eyes checked, and that’s when I found out how bad her eyesight had become. Even those drugstore reading glasses weren’t really helping her anymore. I couldn’t stop myself from tearing up—both from pity and guilt, wondering why it took me this long to buy her proper glasses. But I’ve also been struggling financially as the family’s breadwinner. Still, I felt so happy knowing that Mama finally has the right glasses and can now see clearly—even my pretty face. I love you, Ma. I just don’t know ...
